URUBAMBA 1 DAY RIVER RAFTING EXPEDITION|
A fun day out for any one looking for an alternative adventure to a beautiful section of the Urubamba river. Rafting is a fun sport, suitable for pretty much any one- no experience is needed to take part in the great day out.
The section we run is usually the class 3-4 Chuquicahauna section, above Cusco where the river is cleaner and more fun. It takes one and a half hours to drive to the river. On arrival we will inflate the rafts and following a full safety briefing and instruction in the art of Whitewater rafting, we set off for approx two hours of fun whitewater rafting. The river starts gently with time to practice the manoeuvres required, then builds up with more fun rapids through a beautiful canyon where we will hopefully see torrents ducks and views of the surrounding peaks. After approximately two hours of rafting, we reach our take out point and enjoy a full picnic lunch before returning to Cusco mid to late afternoon.
USD 83 per person based on 4 people participating.

This rafting section runs from April through to November. After that it becomes a much more serious class V river which we only offer to experienced rafters.
At all times we reserve the right to offer an alternative section if we consider the conditions are too dangerous to safely run this section. We can also run a section known as Cusipata which is generally safer and easier and is ideal for family groups. The youngest age we will take is twelve years old, there is no older limit.
